1. Log In and Password - Trouble signing in?
Try re-typing you username and password in the event that you might have misspelled something in the process of logging in. If this does not work send a request for a lost password and you will receive an e-mail containing your password information shortly. If you continue having trouble signing in then please contact the website administrator at Help@BoomBoxGlobal.com and we will attempt to fix this issue.
Note: If the Music Player does not launch make sure to unblock Pop-Ups on the site.
2. How do I customize my profile?
Once you have logged in there is an ‘edit page’ button located in the upper right hand corner of your profile. Here you can continuously modify and customize your page to your liking by clicking and dragging your widgets into the panels labeled ‘Left, Middle and Right’. Once you are done, hit ‘save’ and your changes will be made…you can always go back and add, remove or move widgets around when you want.
3. How can I add Files such as music and photos?
In the upper left hand corner at the top of your page you will find a toolbar with your profile avatar (photo, icon). A drop down menu will appear when you mouse over your profile avatar (photo, icon) and your ‘Files’ option will be listed amongst other items. On the Files page the ‘upload’ option is located on the left hand side of the page. Please do not navigate from the page while uploading files or else you will abort the upload process and will have to start again. Some uploads might take longer than others so be patient and make note that files larger than 45 megabytes will time out and NOT upload. You are free to upload as many files as you need as long as they do not exceed their size and are in mp3, jpg, gif, doc, ppt, xls, txt formats.
For Video: On your video page you have the option of loading a video file (no bigger than 45mb’s) or embedding a URL supported by youtube.com, vimeo.com or veoh.com.
4. How can I edit information on my profile?
Not to be confused with the ‘edit page’ button the ‘edit profile’ button is where you can go to fill out information about yourself and choose who gets to see your content. Please do not post information that is valuable and/or confidential to you or others for that matter i.e. Phone numbers, addresses, bank information etc. If you do not wish to make these items public be sure to make use of the availability options to filter content…you can remain public or go private. Your safety is important to us!
5. How can I download content from the site?
If it is content featured on the main player then you must go to the download section to see if it available for download, some items might not be available for downloads but could be at a later time. If it is content on a user’s profile then click on the file to go to its page to see if it is available for download by the user.
6. How do I find content on the site?
A search window is located at the top of the page on the right hand side – type in key words or possible tag names to narrow the search for the content you are seeking. If you cannot find what you are looking for chances are it is not available on our site.
7. Reporting abusive and inappropriate content on the site.
In the event that you are receiving or see messages containing abuse, harassment, threats or any harmful activity by another user please contact Help@BoomBoxGlobal.com and we will do our best to resolve this issue. You may also report material you may find inappropriate and unsuitable on our site such as pornography and violent imagery or content. Also see our Terms policy for further information regarding this topic.
8. Profile phishing or imposter profiles.
If you feel your account has been hacked or ‘phished’ go into your settings located on the left hand corner at the top of your page and change your password – a unique password is your best bet. Just to be safe, it is good practice to change your password every couple of months or so. In the event someone else is using your identity/likeness as their account without your consent and wish to file an ‘imposter profile’ complaint please contact Help@BoomBoxGlobal.com
9. Spamming, Email and Promotion abuse.
If you do not wish to receive e-mails from users or promotional content, you may remove them from your friends list, go private or report abuse to Help@BoomBoxGlobal.com
10. Bugs and things just not working
When an application or function appears to fail and troubleshooting does not seem to help these are called ‘bugs’ and they must be reported to Help@BoomBoxGlobal.com in order to fix them and have them work properly for you as a user of BoomBoxGlobal.com
11. How do I delete my profile?
In order to delete your profile you must send in a request for cancellation to Help@BoomBoxGlobal.com with your email address. No hard feelings, too bad you had to go.
